Growing Up on the Dry Divide
About
Growing Up on the Dry Divide will give the reader a view, a “window,” into the lives of my parents, Morton and Marie Brown, their five children, and many of the other family members. It will help them better understand what life was like in the heartland of America during the Great Depression, one of the defining events of the Twentieth Century, together with the Second World War. By reading this book, the reader will gain a better understanding and appreciation of our day-to-day lives during the latter part of the 1930’s, through the 1940’s, and into the 1950s. It is a time that is now, "Gone with the Wind."
